STEAM Academy

Our STEAM Academy at Sturgeon Heights School is focused on student imagination and creativity! Students will be immersed in the design process and project-based learning through the use of innovative technology and hands-on projects. Students will learn real-world problem solving through engineering and design. Students will gain skills through teamwork and collaboration.

  • 3D Printing and Design
  • Flight
  • Locomotion
  • Electricity
  • Art
  • Minecraft EDUCATION

STEAM Academy enrollment tuition will include: 

  • Branded Academy hoodie
  • A MicroBit Go (mini-computer designed to make coding fun and easy)
  • Engineering Notepad
  • Small kit of hand tools (tape measure, drafting pencils, material tote, etc)

Students will have excellent opportunities for off-site field trips to sites related to STEAM.

Program Fees

Fees are $350.00 per student per year (a $100.00 registration deposit and the option to pay in monthly installments of $25.00). Student tuition will be used to purchase supplies and materials, software, field trips, and transportation. 

The STEAM Academy will be available to students in Grade 5 - 9 for the 2024/2025 school year.
